Destiny 2 hasn't seen the last of Calus, Caiatl, and Thomas More characters, Bungie says
Bungie says Fortune 2 will do more with characters same Calus, Caiatl, Enshrine-14, Mithrax, and more in the future.
During our Recent interview with Bungie about turn Savathun into the series' best scoundrel yet and building seasons wish serialized TV shows, senior narrative lead Julia Nardin and senior narrative fashion designer Nikko Stevens affirmed that both fresh introduced and farsighted-silent characters will play a part in the narrative at some point in the future.
Destiny 2's first foray foreman, Calus, is "out there waiting, doing something, we're non really sure, but we'Ra really excited to do things with him after the Ghost ship natural action in Season 14," Nardin excited. Likewise, she says that Mithrax, Apotheosis-14, and perchance most especially Caiatl will be seen again.
"Season of the Chosen is non the last you'll see of Caiatl," Nardin told United States of America. "We really wish to compensate off the relationship that she and Zavala have industrial. We've tried to talk about her a little bit in some of the lore about how she's advising Zavala. And past the Lakshmi state of affairs in Mollify of the Splicer, she approaches him about how to handle this Savathun situation in the Dreaming City. She's not going to be relegated to lore forever. We'Ra going to learn from her again. We're going to hear from Mithrax and Saint once more. We want to keep building impulse and that we're telling stories people are emotionally invested in and excited about."
Stevens also pointed out that some overlooked characters may become to a greater extent important as the narrative unfolds. Particularly, he teased that "I think the community hasn't detected how impactful Xivu Arath is in the level quite yet."
"One thing you have to take into consideration is you want to each one season to be a little varied, but at the same time you'Ra trying to Tell this interlocking, cohesive taradiddle, the right way?" Stevens explained. "Populate liked Harden of the Splicer, people enjoyed Mithrax's account, but you don't wish an stallion year focused entirely on the Vex and the Eliksni coming into the city, right? Masses are going to say 'Enough Down, enough Eliksni, enough Vex, let's move onto something else.' Balancing those concepts of keeping the seasons interlocked and the story kinetic forward in some respects that's cohesive, likewise as trying to make sure populate are engaging with content and gameplay that's visceral and new and feels different than the thing they just played, that's one of the biggest difficult points."
Disconcertingly, it sounds like one character will make their final visual aspect soon enough: Bungie says that a weapon pestiferous the death of a character is "not a coincidence."
